A planning application has been submitted to GCC for the erection of a communications tower in the corner of Victoria Park. GCC's planning portal keeps going off-line but the application is reference 26/00767/FUL. The visualisation above is based on plans in the application and is designed to show the height of the mast compared to the surrounding trees.
If you can find a time when the site is working you will get all the details from https://publicaccess.glasgow.gov.uk/online-applications/
If you want to comment you are supposed to go to:
https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/onlineplanning
and register, but you can also email comments to:
planning.representations@glasgow.gov.uk
GCC say, "Comments submitted must be signed, dated and have an address for an acknowledgement to be sent to. They should clearly state the reference number of the application you want to comment on, and the grounds on which the representation is made."
The proposal makes it clear that to work the top of the mast must be higher than the tree line. This picture, which I have created by taking their drawing and scaling it appropriately, shows what I think you will see if you are sitting on the bench with your back to the pond and looking out over the glorious flower beds.
